Behind the Screen

Behind the Screen is an immersive AR experience that exposes the emotional reality behind online violence. Using the Hoverlay app, users scan a physical poster to enter a spatial scene filled with floating hate comments, whispered audio, and symbolic imagery. Interactive elements allow users to tap on certain words and hear the internal monologues of cyberbullying victims. By translating anonymous digital cruelty into visible and emotionally resonant forms, the project explores digital identity, empathy, and the psychological impact of online behavior through spatial storytelling.
